Piano Songs and Guitar Lessons

My dad is having me learn Bridge Over Troubled Water on my keyboard. It's so hard that I can't even make it past the first measure. That's good, because I need stuff that challenges me such as that song. If any of you people out there have a song you want me to learn, tell me on Facebook and I'll try to learn it.

Starting next Tuesday, I'll be taking guitar lessons from Jonathan Cummings, the man who organizes the Open Mic at the Crafted Keg. I am both excited and prepared for whatever he has for me. I think he is going to challenge me a lot.

On Lego Harry Potter, I am almost done with year 3, and have learned Expelliarmus, the disarming spell. There are also Dementors, kind of ghost looking creatures that suck your soul out and leave you zombie-like. The only way to defeat them is the Patronus Charm. Point your wand at the Dementor, think of the greatest, happiest moment in your life, and say "Expecto Patronum!"

Mulligan's, Marathon Runners and Drumsticks

Sunday's performance in front of Mulligan's was great. Thanks to everyone at the Marathon of the Treasure Coast for letting me perform. Although it was hot, I had a fun time.

After the performance I bought a pair of light-up drumsticks, which light up when you hit them. I also went to Gamestop and bought 'Lego Harry Potter: Years 1-4' for my Wii. I am now in year 2, and I have learned a few spells, such as Leviosa, which levitates certain objects, and Immobulus, which immobilizes objects.

The Open Mic Night at the Crafted Keg time has changed. Come on over Tuesday's from 8:PM to 11:PM for Open Mic Night at the Crafted Keg. If you play an instrument, sing, or even know a poem, come over, sign up, and do your thing.

 A wise old Indian Chief was asked about Daylight Saving Time. He said, "Only government can cut a foot from one end of a blanket, sew it onto the other end, and claim to have made a longer blanket."

Wizards and Witches of Halloween

A few weeks ago I saw Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone. It was good for an adaptation, but not as good as the books. The cast was great, though. There was John Cleese from Monty Python, the Dowager Countess from Downton Abbey, and Alan Rickman from Galaxy Quest and Quigley Down Under. Harry Potter is a boy who lived with his step parents which are mugles ,(Mugles: Non-magic folk, humans), and then found out, well as Hagrid put it, "You're a wizard, Harry." Soon, he is off to Hogwarts School of Magic and Wizardry, where he meets Hermiony and Ron, his two best friends. But his real parents weren't mugles, they were wizards. A bad wizard named Voldimort, (sorry, I meant He Who Must Not Be Named) killed his parents and left him with a lightning scar on his forehead. There are four houses at Hogwarts, Gryphindor, Slitherin, Hufflepuff, and Ravenclaw. Harry meets a kid called Drako Malfoy. He is the bully of the school. They also play a game called Quiditch. It's kind of like basketball, but with three balls, broom sticks and baseball bats.You put two of the three balls in a hoop. If you are from Gryphindor, you go to Slytherin's hoops, and vice versa. The third ball is caught by the seeker, who looks for the speedy flying ball and catches it. When the third ball is caught, the game ends. He has an owl named Hedwig that sends and receives letters and presents. Harry finds out that Voldimort is coming back to life to kill him, and with the help of Ron and Hermiony, stops him. There's more but it doesn't apply to the plot. So, see you later in another blog. Bye.
